KIDS RUN (Kids 12 & under)
If your child is participating in the KIDS RUN, their .8 mile to 1k race will begin at the main start line at 4:00 p.m.
RESOLUTION 5K
If you are participating in the RESOLUTION 5k, your race begins at 5:00 p.m. After finishing your 5k distance, you will receive your 5k medal at the Finish Line.
9.3 CHALLENGE
If you are participating in the 9.3 Challenge, your race begins with the 5k at 5:00 p.m. Depending on your pace and when you finish, you will then prepare for the 10k to begin at 6:30 p.m. After finishing the 10k race and thus completing your 9.3 Mile Challenge, you will receive your 10k medal and Challenge medal at the Finish Line.
NYR x BASECAMP FITNESS CHALLENGE WORKOUT
Take your fitness goals to new heights with a post run-HIIT workout brought to you exclusively by Basecamp Fitness. After finishing the 5k race, hit the park in beast mode and join fellow runners in a high intensity workout lead by basecamp fitness trainers. To participate in the Basecamp Challenge, visit the Basecamp booth located inside the park on race night. Space is limited and availability is on first come-first served basis. One session per person.
FESTIVAL & BEER GARDEN
The New Year’s Race will host a festival in Grand Park on race day. The festival will include vendor and sponsor booths, music, food trucks and a beer garden! Each registered New Year’s Race participant 21 years and older, will receive two (2) free beer tickets with their paid registration. Beer tickets will be attached to your bib and can be redeemed inside the beer garden on race day. Free Beer tickets will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
GEAR CHECK
Gear Check will be provided for this race. Gear Check will be located inside the festival area in Grand Park. You will be allowed to bring your own bag to check in. All bags should NOT be larger than standard back pack size. New Year’s Race is not responsible for theft or damage to any personal belongings left unattended and outside of the gear check area. Bags and items must be picked up from Gear Check by 9:30 p.m.
LEGACY RUNNERS
The New Year’s Race Legacy Runners have completed every single race since the first race in 2013! If you are a Legacy Runner, your bib will be labeled as such and you can pick up your additional Legacy medal from the Legacy booth located inside the festival. Legacy medals will be available for distribution beginning at 5:30 p.m. If you are unsure whether or not you are a Legacy Runner, you can check your status HERE.
PARKING
Please check back for updated parking info before race day.
VIRTUAL RUN
The New Year’s Race Virtual Run allows you to participate in the race remotely. As a Virtual Runner you can participate anywhere in the country and still receive your shirt or hoody and finisher medal. If you register as a Virtual Runner, all you need to do is go for a run on race wherever you are. Your race packet will be mailed to you AFTER race day. You do not have to show proof of completing your virtual run as payment for your run is proof that you will complete your 9.3 Challenge or 5k race.
RESULTS & AWARDS
Results will be available for look up at the Results booth located inside the festival. Results will also be posted on the race website within 24 hours.
Overall awards will be awarded to the top 3 male and female for both the 5k and 9.3 Challenge. No age division awards will be given. Winners will be announced at the main stage inside the festival at the following times:
6:15 p.m. – Resolution 5K Awards
7:00 p.m. – 9.3 Challenge Awards
