GEAR CHECK:
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO USE THE GEAR CHECK BAG PROVIDED BY THE NEW YEAR’S RACE. BAGS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT BIB PICK UP. NO EXCEPTIONS.

*All clothing that is left after 12:30am will be donated. Please note: DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your gear bag. The event is not responsible for any lost items.

Gear Check trucks will be arranged by Bib #. Attach your gear tag to your gear bag before you leave it with the Gear Check crew. After the race, reclaim your checked bag at the designated Gear Check area.

START LINE:
The Start line is now located at Grand Park in front of City Hall. A Wave Start will be incorporated in the New Year’s Race Half Marathon & Resolution 5k/10k. Both the Half Marathon & Resolution 5k/10k participants will be assigned in the same corrals at the Start Line based on running pace. On the course, there will be “split signage” and course marshals to indicate where the two races will split on the course.
The Starting Line Corral system ensures a smooth race start for the multitude of participants at varying experience and fitness levels. Runners will be assigned a race number and corresponding corral based on the estimated finish time provided on the race entry form.

NOTE: Each race distance will have their own color coordinated bib. Runners will NOT be permitted to start late due to the safety of all runners starting on time and road closures. Please plan to arrive at least TWO hours prior to your start to allow for a pleasant race experience.

BEFORE THE EVENT DEADLINE: December 1, 2015
If you would like to change your corral after this date, you will need to make all necessary changes during packet pick up hours.

CLOTHING PICK-UP:
All unclaimed clothing that was dropped or left behind at the Start Line will be picked up by a local community group and donated to charity.

The New Year’s Race Los Angeles will host both the start and finish line in the same location at Grand Park featuring stocked Beer Garden, Food Vendors, Kid’s Celebration Zone, VIP, and more to enjoy pre and post race. Get ready to enjoy a full evening of fun with friends and family as you run through the highlights of Downtown LA and celebrate under the stars!
NOTE: All participants must pick up their race packet and bib within the Expo hours located at the host hotel, Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Saturday 12-7pm and Sunday 12-7pm. NO bibs/packets will be available at the start/finish lines inside Grand Park. Make sure to arrive at least TWO hours prior to your race start time to ensure a pleasant race experience. NO REFUNDS or exceptions will be made for runners who are late. Runners will NOT be permitted to start late for the safety of all other runners. Bibs are non transferrable to individuals or events. Unofficial transfers are subject to disqualification and banning from the event. Races will be starting every two hours (Kids 4pm, 5K/10K 6pm, Half 8pm); therefore, be aware that road closures will be in effect beginning early morning.
